On Friday June 14, 2019 we sold the last of our Action Wipes inventory which effectively pulled Action Wipes off the grid for the time being (There are still a few left on Amazon as we write this). As a brand, Action Wipes have long been an active sport essential since our official launch at the 2008 Wildflower Triathlon and a long-time Burning Man must-have. Most recently, Action Wipes became a life-saving body care tool for the fire industry who were using Action Wipes to remove the carcinogenic toxins and soot from fires since cancer has became the most dangerous threat to the health and safety of America's firefighters.
At the same time, Action Wipes were essentially a single use item, which was contributing to the global epidemic of landfill waste. And while our product was a tiny fraction of the body wipe industry and we were actively promoting the ability to recycle and repurpose Action Wipes, we were very concerned about our contribution to the problem.
And lastly, as we were getting ready to place a new order for 2019, our production partners had dramatically increased our costs to produce Action Wipes by 30% and our timeline for production had ballooned from 12 - 16 weeks. At the same time, our Life Elements products have been growing in popularity and so we decided to resign the physical Action Wipes product from the market for now.
While Action Wipes are currently unavailable, we are working on tweaking the Action Wipes formula to be used as an all-purpose soap and wetting solution that can be used with any reusable fabric. Please stay tuned on our progress and be sure to check out our Life Elements collections.
